We are a ‘uniform school’, believing that uniform looks smart and wears well, contributing to a feeling of belonging to and being proud of the school. It also helps the children focus on learning rather than on the latest sports gear or fashion. Our uniform consists of:
Grey trousers/skirt (jogging pants – Early Year’s Unit)
Red school sweatshirt/cardigan (infants)
Grey school sweatshirt/cardigan (juniors)
White shirt
Sports clothes, e.g. track suit bottoms, football shirts under sweatshirts, are not permitted and if for some reason there is a problem about uniform on a particular day we expect a note. We leave footwear to parents’ discretion but we do ask that brightly coloured trainers are not worn and that shoes are sensible for safety reasons – high heels and platforms do cause accidents when children play out. In summer some of the girls wear the school dresses which can be bought at all the major stores. Please remember however that our uniform is red. All Nursery and Reception children need their own named Wellington boots in school at all times.
P.E.Juniors
Indoor kit: Plain coloured shorts, bare feet or pumps and a T-shirt that is a change of clothes.
Outdoor kit: A suitable change of footwear for outdoor games is needed. Tracksuits may be worn in colder weather. In years 3 and 4 swimming kit is needed.
Infants
T-shirt and shorts with bare feet or pumps.
Please make sure that any clothing your child may take off is clearly marked with his/her name.
Jewellery should not be worn in school. For reasons of safety, children with pierced ears should wear studs.
